What to Pack for Pacific Northwest Lodging Trips

This comprehensive gear list has been thoughtfully curated to help you choose what to bring on our Pacific Northwest Itineraries during July-August. We’ve partnered with Backcountry.com, a Salt Lake City based company, to provide our guests recommendations.

PACKING LIST

To ensure comfort on your Pacific Northwest lodging trip, layer your clothing throughout the day. Prepare for any weather, even if forecasts are sunny. Olympic’s coastal and rainforest terrain means conditions can shift quickly — expect cooler, damper mornings even in July and August, especially along the coast. Pack a duffel or roller bag for easy storage inside our trailer and mobility around the lodge. Use a small daypack for your essentials throughout the day.

  • Day Pack (15L-25L)
  • Day Pack Cover – This keeps your pack from getting wet.
  • Water Bottle: Bring at least 2 liters (64 oz). A water bottle or hydration bladder both work great. Two standard Nalgenes = perfect. Throughout the course of the day you’ll have many opportunities to refill your water bottle.
