Spend three unforgettable days in the Moab area as we explore two of Utah’s most spectacular National Parks – Arches & Canyonlands. Come prepared to get some dirt on your hiking boots as we explore this rugged and expansive landscape filled with some of the world’s most unique rock formations. Stay busy each day and relax in the evenings at one of Moab’s most stunning resorts – Red Cliff’s Lodge – nestled beneath towering canyon walls and overlooking the mighty Colorado River! Today we will be introduced to some of the most incredible canyon vistas that span as far as the eye can see. Canyonlands – split into 3 distinct districts – provides some of Utah’s most impressive rock formations. We will explore the Island in the Sky District in addition to a stop at the amazing Dead Horse Point State Park for a famous view of the Colorado River. This evening we will arrive to our accommodation for an included dinner. This evening be sure to peek outside and enjoy the spectacular night skies of southern Utah.
Driving time: 4 Hours
Hiking: 1-2 miles – Minimal elevation gain

This morning, enjoy a deluxe breakfast as you view the sunrise from the hotel’s back patio. Once loaded up on food and hot coffee, it’s time to begin our adventure for the day and explore Arches National Park for some awesome hikes and sightseeing. Arches is home to over 2,000 natural arches – the most found anywhere in the world. Plan on exploring the Devil’s Garden area of the park where we will see a wide assortment of arches including the longest in the park, Landscape Arch at 306 feet! This afternoon we will explore a bit more of the surrounding Moab area and spend some time in town. We will return to the hotel this evening for dinner and sunset along the Colorado River.
This morning you can enjoy another hot breakfast before we head back to Arches National Park to visit one of the most famous features in the entire National Park system – Delicate Arch! This hike leads you to one of the Southwest’s most iconic (and photogenic) rock formations. After we complete the hike, we will enjoy an included lunch before making our return trip to Salt Lake City!
Driving time: 4 Hours
Hiking: 3 miles – 500+ feet elevation gain
Return to Salt Lake City: We plan to return to SLC by approximately 6:00pm. If you plan to depart from Salt Lake International Airport after the trip, be sure you do not book a flight prior to 10:00pm or 22:00 due to various circumstances out of our control.

This trip was perfect with amazing hikes and guides that were both friendly and super knowledgeable. I was nervous about hiking Angels Landing but our guide Jerud made sure we all got there safe and feeling as secure as possible. James provided stellar substitutions for those that didn’t want to do that hike. The parks are beautiful! James and Jerud with MountainBased we’re truly some of the best guides I’ve had and I’ve taken several guided trips. I will be back! This trip is the perfect mix of hiking in Bryce and Zion as well as ample opportunity to shop and some solo time relaxing if you want it. The van is comfortable and gear provided was top notch! Food was yummy and filling! Perfect mix of “rugged outdoors” and “relaxing vacation”! Best part was how well the guides knew which hikes and what times for us to feel like we were VIPs in the parks! The group of people I traveled with was so great. We were like a family for 5 days. We traveled together during the day, had our lunch and dinner together and end of the day had conversations and played games near the bon fire. All the locations we visited as part this trip were so unique and beautiful. Nick and Justin were very confident and proactive everytime we faced any difficulties. Such a great experience.
